OOC: Been reading a military like book, this person joining the airforce, written by Tom Clancy. Though very inspirational.

Abarden made the biggest and guilty decision ever, he was going to join the military army. It has good pay, very good experience too. How to break it to his parents? He was not sure, he hates to break their hearts and make them frustrated. He already have a first experience in war or what was left of it.

Field trip to Africa, an area which war was fading and forgotten, the location he does not remember. He left the class without notice with his best friend Jake, went out to the ruined city that was nearby, it looked like it gone through a war zone though most building remain standing and survived.

They were empty, just collecting dust, windows shattered in some parts. Maybe this place could be haunted by the souls here. He sworn he saw a two or three dead bodies but didn't bother to investigate knowing he would feel sorry.

Jake end up finding a big silver round thing, which was actually bomb counting down, that day was most regretable. 5 ft away from his best friend, then a flash of orange red, with loud ear popping sound of an explosion. Watching in horror as your friend vaporize into nothing literally.

He ends up surviving with metal shards all over himself, end having shard that head to his heart too. He was one lucky ass bastard, he blamed himself for Jake's death, blaming himself he murdered him by taking him to the ruined building. Now he has a glowing reactor in his chest that keeps him alive. Yup, just like his father Tony Stark.

He forced the memory away, not wanting to remember it but knows it'll never go away or something he can just forget. He took a deep breath, walking down the lonely hallway, the silence was intense making him nervous the closer he gets to his parent's room.

He lifted his hand and knocked on the door, carefully opening the door. "Mother, father?" His voice cut the silence. Tony Stark was at his desk doing some small project while his mother, Loki Laufeyson Stark was reading a book on the bed.

Loki looked up first and responded. "Yes son?" His voice queried. Tony turn his head and looked to Abarden waiting for his response to Loki.

Abarden closed the door behind him, swallowing a lump down his throat. "I want to join the military...It has good pay and it'll be new experience for me. This is a painful decision but I want to do something, to help the country I love. I promise to return home safely." He said, his hands fiddling with each other nervously.

Loki eyes widen a little bit, not sure what to say of what Abarden wants to do. "Why? It's dangerous, and I almost already lost you once, I do not wish to go through it again." He said. Tony spoke up. "Yes, that day thought was your last, made me so worried and scared, I don't want to lose a son." He said in the calmest manner.

Abarden knew they were going to be this way, they were paranoid and wary, he'll understand that. "I know but that's because I didn't even know war stuff was left behind activated or not. I promise I'll be fine, I'll get very good training and I am able to defend and protect myself." He said reassuringly much as he can. "Please, this only request I want. I will come back alive and breathing." He urged, watching their expression.

He watches his mother frown, looking down and putting the book aside. It was the hardest decision for them to let him do this. "Fine, but I swear you don't come back home alive, I am not sure if I can forgive you." He said with a frown, keeping tears away. Tony blinks in surprise of his beloved's response. "I have to agree, you're the heir to this company and you need come back alive." He said sternly.

Abarden looked at them in tears before going over and hugging his father, then to his mother, who both hugged him back. "Please be safe." His mother voice whispered in his ear.

He walked out of the room, feeling tears stinging his eyes, he kept his tears back knowing he'll just fall apart. He went to his own room, seeing the familiar colors and design of his room. He grabs his first invention he made when he was a kid, it was a little toy cat that able to move around and interact with a small mini AI. He placed it down on the desk.

---

The door shut behind him, looking out the car's window towards his waving parents. He will miss them very much. He didn't say good bye to his twin brother, because his relationship with him been a struggle currently. He had a large fight with his brother one day month after his incident. He regret the words he said, now he will not see his brother for a very long time.

He watches Thor balling into tears, understanding that his uncle didn't wish to see his first nephew to go to war or anything in such matter. Clint patted Thor's arm and smiled at Abarden in reassuring matter and waves.

He waved them goodbye before the car started to move. Goodbye sweet family, goodbye sweet home, goodbye sweet safety.

He was gone, to military training camp, to be trained to be a top strong soldier, to built for survive and fight till the end.

OOC: This is so sad! Why must Tom Clancy book be so inspirational for a war base fanfiction? ;A;
Inspiration from a book. Poor Loki and Tony, they took it hard to know they won't see Abarden for like 4 or more years. ;A; I feel terrible for Thor, crying his eyes like a child. D: SEBASTIAN didn't even said goodbye! ROAR! XD Oh well.
